The redesign of the communal space for the federal real estate company „BIG“ in Vienna was a response to a computer-dominated work environment, which often overlooks the need for spaces dedicated to relaxation, variety, and creativity. Our goal was to introduce a new focal point within the building - a space with a welcoming contrast that offers flexible usability through adaptable furniture.
Inspired by the green of nature, we aimed to create a calming yet refreshing atmosphere. Various shades of green on primarily textile surfaces establish a fresh and harmonious environment, inviting people to recharge and gain new inspiration.

Flexible furniture plays a key role in the concept. Simple adjustments allow elements to be reconfigured for various office needs. Freestanding wooden boxes can be combined with hidden elements to effortlessly accommodate smaller meetings, monthly breakfast gatherings or larger discussions.
Meeting booths offer the opportunity for confidential discussions while maintaining the open atmosphere of the room. Additionally, "knot boxes" and lounge chairs invite you to take a break from work.
Overall, the new office space for "BIG" is not just a functional extension of the workplace, but a place that offers space for creative exchange and promotes the well-being of employees in their daily work.
